And thank you for being here! I’m Melanie Hollander Daigle, the Founder of Makeup By Melanie. I am based in Louisiana and strive in helping women feel confident in their own, beautiful skin while creating a luxury experience for each client. At a young age, I developed a strong passion for makeup and began to develop my own technique and style, applying high end products and creating beautiful, specialized looks. With a Bachelors degree in Visual Art, a certification in Makeup Artistry, and over 14 years of experience, I created Makeup By Melanie providing onsite makeup services across Louisiana, nationwide, and internationally. I have teamed up with and am trusted by countless brides, various photographers, local magazines, celebrities, businesses and content creators.
I strive in staying up to date with the latest seasonal trends and am available for various appointments or services upon request. Through my experience in the beauty industry and use of high quality products, I have become an expert at my craft, creating timeless looks for any special occasion. I absolutely adore getting to know my clients, making long lasting relationships with each one, and I cannot wait to work with you!

How early do i need to book?
I begin booking weddings 9 months in advance. As soon as your date is confirmed, I suggest reaching out to start the booking process - sometimes I can be available a year or so out ;) so always check in with me.
Do you employee other makeup artists if needed?
I am a freelance makeup artist but for bigger wedding parties, I do bring along fellow, trusted artists to assist me.
Do you travel?
Yes! I am always on the road whether it be across Louisiana or surrounding States. I do also offer packages for destination weddings nationwide or international.
How do i prepare for my appointment or on wedding day?
Please arrive with washed skin free of any skincare products or sunscreen unless we have previously discussed. I will provide skincare and skin prep specifically for your skin type or the look we are trying to achieve.
Do you hold dates when i first reach out?
Unfortunately I do not hold your date unless a deposit has been sent and a contract has been signed. Once I send out your contract to you, your date will be held for 3 days. If you have not sent over contract or deposit to me within 3 days, that date will be opened up again.
